Signs of Fall

As soon as the thermostat dips below 90 degrees, you better believe I'm breaking out the turtlenecks and leather.

Outfit details: Vero Moda turtleneck (also in navy), Nasty Gal heels (on sale for $35!), Céline sunglasses (via Sunglasses Shop), Gap army jacket (old, similar here), vintage leather pencil skirt (similar and similar), vintage belt and bag.

This sleeveless turtleneck is a new addition, and it is one of the best things I've ever purchased from ASOS. The burnt sienna color fits perfectly in with the neutral colors trend and the impending fall craze.

I think saturated, earthy colors suit me best (I'm definitely an "autumn"). I can't wait to style this turtleneck with everything from cut-off denim shorts to layered under a slip dress with tights and boots.

I bought this leather pencil skirt for like $5 about 4 years ago, and just found it in storage. Goes to show that a good vintage buy is always worth it, even if it sits in your garage for a lil while.

Pro-tip: if you're shopping for a leather pencil skirt like this one, size up at least 1 size. You will feel less like a sausage, and the softened silhouette will make even cheaper versions look luxe.

In other news, I am so excited for Fall/Halloween/cold weather that I am literally one PSL away from turning into a leather-jacket-clad bat and flying off into the night.

p.s. Sophia Amoruso's new book, Nasty Galaxy, was released Tuesday! Mine just arrived in the mail, and I can't wait to read it.
