Dainty Floral

Lo and behold, a rare gem of a mini dress unearthed from the Forever 21 vortex of weird pun tees and stinky pleather. I'm half joking, maybe, but I was definitely surprised to find not one but two cute things to buy at Forever 21.

As much as I want to curate a wardrobe full of gorgeous investment pieces, sometimes the temptation of fast fashion is just too much! This dress gives me Reformation vibes with a seriously discounted price tag.

The trick to making a dress like this seem nicer is to layer a slip underneath. Cheap clothes rarely have lining, so the material looks thin and clingy. Wearing a slip makes all the difference. (I have a growing collection of vintage silk slips that double as sleepwear, and also as camis when I'm too lazy to change in the morning so I just tuck the slip into a pair of jeans and call it a day.)

The other obvious thing is to avoid washing it as much as possible. Fast fashion is made to fall apart, so avoid washes, and only wash in cold water and air dry!
