Hurricane Irma has come and gone, and Tampa was lucky to avoid any major damage. The storm broke up over Florida, and by the time it hit us it was a much smaller storm than the category 4 hurricane they predicted.
I'm reminding myself to be grateful for our safety, and there have actually been some positive outcomes from the storm panic:
1. I got to spend time with my husband and in-laws, and we had a great time drinking wine and playing dominoes and card games to pass the time.
2. In our storm preparations, we packed up a giant portion of our house (art was all taken down and stored in closets, everything decorative and breakable was packed away, and a lot of furniture was piled up and moved away from windows). After coming home, I was inspired to reorganize and minimize our furniture and decor.
A fresh perspective is sometimes all you need to get motivated. I kept my minimal streak going and wore these sleek pinstripe trousers with a sleeveless bodysuit and geometric gold jewelry. These dreamy Miu Miu sunglasses added the perfect contrast to a simple outfit. The rugged army jacket thrown over everything felt very à la minute, and I love how cozy it is.
Outfit details: vintage trousers, Asos bodysuit, Miu Miu sunglasses (there's a pair here AND they're on sale!), necklace from Target (this one is similar and cooler!), earrings from H&M (similar), vintage clutch, Gap army jacket.
