Hello! I feel like it's been ages since I sat down and wrote anything. January has been absolutely insane – I'm back in school, started an internship, started taking ballet 3 days a week, and have been putting in extra work with my Etsy vintage shop.
I'm definitely one of those people that functions better when I'm busy. Sometimes it feels like an impossible balancing act, and other times it feels like I'm on track to take over the world.
My friends and I revived our bookclub for 2018; this month we're reading "Little Fires Everywhere" by Celeste Ng. It's a riveting read so far; I read half the book in one sitting!
When it comes to style, this point in time is very transitional. I'm moving away from some of the more cute and feminine stuff in my closet in favor of lots of androgynous trousers, blazers, and statement heels. I'd call it a mix of chic, minimal, and 40s/80s vintage inspired.
These boots with my vintage Guess jeans feels pretty 80s to me. My husband and I went to see Flashdance at Tampa Theatre last week (they're running a classic movie series, so good!) and I was totally digging the outfits. I remember thinking the 80s were sooo tacky when I was younger, and now here I am in full shoulder-padded and light wash denim glory.
Lately I'm daydreaming about all of the pieces I want to add to my wardrobe this year. Check 'em out:
