I finally picked up a pair of Everlane's ubiquitous Day Heels, and I have worn them non-stop since they arrived on my doorstep. They're a block heel pump with an elasticized back, and Everlane boasts that you can wear them "all damn day."
I definitely found that to be the case. There is something very chic about the shape of this shoe. The ballet-inspired toe and the chunky heel feels so cool and effortless; I'm wearing them with everything from denim cut-offs to silk maxi dresses.
When it comes to sizing, I recommend going up a half size. My normal size is an 8, and once in a while even a 7.5, but with these (and most Everlane shoes, actually) I went up to an 8.5 and they're perfect. I was lucky to be able to try them on in person at Everlane Prince Street and get a feel for the sizing.
The cognac color is gorgeous, and I even like pairing it with black. I would love to get these shoes in the cherry red color, too! I think it's safe to say I'm Everlane obsessed... all my friends pretty much roll their eyes when I start waxing poetic on the merits of modern basics. That said, it's a great company with an ethical mission, transparent pricing, and way better quality than comparable brands.
