Outfit details: Opening Ceremony patent jacket, vintage wool trousers and belt, Prada flats, Hanes ribbed tank top, Everlane crossbody bag.
This Opening Ceremony is one of my favorite pieces in my closet, but it’s also one of the hardest things to style. The curved hem and silhouette are dramatic, and a little reminiscent of a vampire bat. I usually pair with slim jeans or black tights and a mini skirt to balance the jacket’s heaviness.
Today I opted for some slouchy wool trousers, and I think the pairing was fun! I’ve been thrifting lots of oversize wool trousers like these; just use a belt to gather them at the waist for a paperbag effect. Kept the top simple with a ribbed Hanes tank, and added my favorite Everlane leather purse.
This Everlane bag is called the “Petra” and it’s literally the best classic bag I’ve ever come across, save for the classic Céline crossbody (#oldceline for life). I love this Everlane bag because it is very structured, and adds sophistication to every outfit. The combo of suede and leather is luxe, and the strap length is perrrrfect for my height.
Everlane recently came out with a new bag, “The Form bag” and I’m curious to take it for a spin. I’m on the fence about the fabric strap, but it could look cool with the right outfit.
