I’ve been shopping in the men’s section to find blazers and coats with giant, structured shoulders. It’s a different look from my shoulder pad craze. A little less 80s and a little more industrial revolution.
I’ve got a fantastic vintage Burberry trench and now this divine gray wool coat, both with my coveted giant shoulder silhouette. I especially love the look with a full midi skirt, but it works well to add interest to a plain old jeans-and-white-top outfit.
Also loving the clash of black with gray and cognac. It’s honestly more functional than statement, because I don’t have a bag that matches these shoes (Everlane Day Heel in cognac suede, a total lifesaver and super comfy for daily wear).
These may be the best jeans I’ve found in all my years of jeans shopping. They don’t smoosh your butt, and they’re actually fitted at the waist. There’s some stretch to them, but the denim still feels pretty thick, like proper denim weight. AND they’re super high rise. They’re from Madewell, and these are my first denim purchase from the brand. If you’re between sizes definitely size down in these.
