After a pretty uninspired winter, not to mention life overload with working, freelancing, interning, and finishing my last semester at school, I am finally feeling a wave of fresh style inspiration.
I’ve been loving the style of Jane from Sea of Shoes, Courtney from Always Judging, and Madelynn from Wide Eyed and Legless. A lot of these images are also from a Man Repeller story about Shanghai fashion week – I’m in LOVE with that city’s street style.
Here’s a mood board of images that are making me excited for spring and summer fashion. There are also some shopping links, which are affiliate links, meaning this blog gets a small commission from the things you buy. It’s a free way to support bloggers you like!
Denim is HAVING A MOMENT. I’ve always considered jeans to be my lazy outfit, but these outfits are shining a new light on the potential of jeans. Particularly 90s, high rise + straight leg denim with an extra long inseam, and maybe some distressing. Moussy Vintage and AGOLDE have my favorite silhouettes at the moment.
These denim trench coats are also really fresh, especially in this mid-blue wash. Canadian tuxedo, here I come.
If you saw my last post, you know I’ve been on this XL blazer kick for a minute. This new wave of style is all about the boxy fit in neutral colors. Love this look with skinny/strappy heeled sandals for delicate contrast, or chunky streetwear sneakers for fashion-forward insouciance.
Idk these barely-there 90s sandals remind me of Carrie’s outfits from Sex and the City. They’re unequivocally sexy and summery. I love them in an unexpected pop of color like chartreuse or snake print. The trick is to make sure they’re a mid-low heel to keep them feeling effortless (and to be able to walk in ‘em). The Real Real has great vintage Manolos, but they sell quickly so act quickly if you find a pair you love!
