I’ve been incorporating heels into my wardrobe more than ever with this new haircut. It’s been fun to style everything from boyish to androgynous to ultra-feminine. I particularly love the effect of sky-high, spindly heels – maybe because I want to redistribute the length I lost in my hair to my feet? I’ve started affectionately calling these heels “click clacks” because they have such a presence, including the sound they make when you walk.
This particular style of heel – call the court shoe, stiletto, single sole, or pointed toe – is an important building block of my wardrobe. I prefer suede because it adds more visual depth. Seriously, these heels match almost anything in your closet, and are actually one of the more comfortable pairs of heels I have.
I’ve had this pair for a few year now. As long as you get your heel caps replaced regularly and you use a suede brush/protectant spray every few months, your heels will last for ages. I keep all my shoes in their original boxes for storage, and that also goes a long way in preserving them.
